Statement on the Use of AI-Generated Content

In alignment with international publishing ethics and responsible research practices, CORD – Coconut Research and Development Journal sets forth the following policy regarding the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the preparation of scholarly manuscripts:

1. Permissible Use of AI Tools

Authors may use AI-assisted tools (such as grammar checkers, language editors, or reference managers) strictly for:

  • Language refinement
  • Spelling and grammar correction
  • Formatting assistance

Such use must not extend to the generation of scientific content or interpretation of research findings.

2. Prohibited Use of AI Tools

The use of AI tools to generate original scientific content is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Conceptual frameworks
  • Research questions
  • Methodology
  • Experimental results
  • Data interpretation
  • Conclusions
  • Citations

CORD does not accept manuscripts that contain content fabricated or generated by AI in these critical areas.

3. Disclosure Requirement

Authors must clearly disclose any use of AI-assisted tools in the manuscript, specifying the purpose and scope of such use.

“The authors used [AI tool name, e.g., ChatGPT] for language editing purposes only. No AI-generated content was used in the development of the scientific analysis or conclusions.”

4. Author Responsibility and Accountability

All authors are fully responsible for the integrity, originality, and accuracy of the submitted work, regardless of any use of AI tools.

AI tools cannot be credited as authors, nor can they assume any accountability for the work.

5. Editorial Oversight

Submissions that violate this policy may be subject to rejection, withdrawal, or post-publication retraction.

The editorial team reserves the right to request clarification or verification related to AI usage in any submitted manuscript.
